Beth has a love sharing her kind of music, accompanied by stories of her life and times, and is the perfect way to ease into the weekend. Her passion is enhanced by a love of all things outdoor and the occasional visit to a hostelry to sample the very best in local gins and ales.
Beth is as passionate about music as she is about hiking and the great outdoors. Based in Grange-over-Sands Beth & husband Steve have published 10 books about the finest hiking, history, wildlife and gin to be found in Cumbria.
When she’s not running up that hill, or being a paperback writer, she enjoys sniffing old books and knitting brightly coloured ponchos. Her claims to musical fame include passing Take That on the way back from the toilet, failing to recognise Mick Hucknall in a London club and skipping school for the chance to appear in a Duran Duran video (but don’t tell her mum!). She is frightened of chickens ! 😊
Cumbrian Ramblings on Saturday
Saturday 9am – 12 noon
On Saturdays she commemorates On This Day in History with a suitable tune, digs out the first ever hits from global superstars and tests your music knowledge with her Second Breakfast Connections.
Both shows are brimming with fun, positivity and great music and are the perfect pick-me-up whenever the world gets you down.
